MARIA LAWLER

I got into fitness 20 years ago and by ‘into’ I mean I joined a gym with the sole intention of losing weight and leading a healthy lifestyle after too much indulgence and university!

I didn’t really know what I was doing and I very quickly lost motivation; I now know that it was because my reasons for starting were all wrong.

20 years on, I have come to understand that being ‘fit’ is so much more than having a gym membership! I had to explore what it was that made me want to get out of bed and work out in the mornings and I found a love for running. Over time and, 9 marathons later, I began to understand how to effectively strength train to enable my body to run faster and Working out became something I loved, rather than something I thought I had to do to keep slim or ‘be healthy’.

My training then naturally evolved into the desire to lead other people to feel as enthused and energized by their own training as I do because believe me, you can!

Becoming a personal trainer was the logical decision and a very exciting one and now I take great pleasure in working along side my clients to show them how incredible their training can and does make them feel.

Whatever your goal may be, your journey to get there does not need to feel like a slog or a struggle!

Yes, you will have to work and some days, you wont feel like you want to but that’s where I come in.

Training isn’t just about working up a sweat; training is about mind, body and soul and I take a holistic approach to all my client relationships.

I will not only ensure that, over time, you will WANT to keep pushing; I will also instill in you the belief that you are capable of absolutely anything you put your mind to.
